Hi!

Everyone calls me Cheesie, but my real name is Ronald A. Mack. The A is for Apton, which is a weird middle name. It’s my mother’s maiden name. I think most kids HATE their middle names. I actually don’t. R. Apton Mack is actually kind of cool sounding…but I like Cheesie best.

Here’s some stuff about me:

  1. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and three freckles on my nose. I also have a whitish scar on my thumb where a fishhook stabbed me when I was on a lake with my dad. I was eight and fooling around. Don’t ask.
  2. My birthday is August 16. I’m now 11, which is, IMO, a very cool age to be.
  3. My ears stick out. But you can probably see that in my picture above. It used to bother me, but now that I’ve written about my ears in my book, a zagillion (that’s a gazillion times bigger than a gazillion) people know, so I say…so what? And this is the last time I’m going to mention them on my website!
  4. I have three grandparents (plus one who died a long time ago), two aunts, two uncles, and two first cousins. I also have the meanest older sister in Massachusetts.   5. I am a very fast runner. One of the fastest in my class, but I haven’t actually raced every kid. I’m on the sixth grade cross country team.
  6. I like sports. Especially baseball and soccer. And I’m a good swimmer.
  7. I read lots of books. Especially adventures.
  8. I love to write about my adventures.
  9. I love words.
  10. And I like making lists…like this one.

  3. Hi Cheesie! I would be mad at June (Goon) a lot too if my brother did all that stuff to me. What is your favorite book? Is Dianna Moony really your girl friend?!?!?!

    1. I like video games, but they take too much time way from my writing. When I play video games, and I finish, the screen goes dark. When I write, and I finish, I have a book. One is just a game. The other leaves something valuable behind.

    I want to know what goons middle name is.

    1. I do not like horses more than dogs. Maybe that’s because I own a dog and have only ridden a horse a couple of times, and I don’t own one.
      My middle name is Apton…which is my mother’s maiden name. I sort of like it because it’s unusual.

    1. You have such a cool name! I think an excellent nickname for you would be Ken-Z-Bean. My fave color is orange. I don’t now what my biggest risk was…maybe because nothing bad happened.

    1. Not telling! Sure I do, but I don’t get much time to play computer games. I’m too busy writing.

    1. One BFF = Georgie…and lots of other friends. DO I LIKE DOGS? OF COURSE! My dog Deeb is the BDITW (best dog in the world).

  40. What is it like to be famous?Your sister is mean mine is too.I liked book three that’s the only one I’ve read.

    1. What do you mean? I am not famous. In fact, the title of my first book is Cheesie Mack Is Not Exactly Famous.

    1. It depends. Usually on school nights…about 9:45. Then I read in bed…sometimes for almost an hour, but usually I fall asleep in 15 minutes. I get up early. That’s when I do most of my writing because the house is quiet.

    3. Some people need more sleep than others. Everyone is different, I think. My Granpa, for example, doesn’t sleep much at night…but he naps in the daytime.

  44. Your books are so funny! I can’t wait to read the rest of them!!!!!!!!!!
    Is there any tips you have to being so funny?
    Also, Is there any tips that you can give for writing books?

      Tip–start writing, and don’t be too critical. Writing is like anything else you want to be good at. You have to practice. Do it lots.

  46. What have you accomplished in your life! I want to know it because I am a fan of your books!

    1. I’m 11…I’ve written five books. I also ate a whole bowl of rice pudding in one gulp. That’s about it.

  49. When i first read your fist book, i had a really hard time beliveing you were real! I thought you were a figment of imagination frome Steve Cotlers mind. But yeah your real and your autobioripal (Autobiograpy but made an adj) stories are too. I liked your old cover better for books 1 and 2. Its unique… like your ears 😝
