Hi!

Everyone calls me Cheesie, but my real name is Ronald A. Mack. The A is for Apton, which is a weird middle name. It’s my mother’s maiden name. I think most kids HATE their middle names. I actually don’t. R. Apton Mack is actually kind of cool sounding…but I like Cheesie best.

Here’s some stuff about me:

  1. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and three freckles on my nose. I also have a whitish scar on my thumb where a fishhook stabbed me when I was on a lake with my dad. I was eight and fooling around. Don’t ask.
  2. My birthday is August 16. I’m now 11, which is, IMO, a very cool age to be.
  3. My ears stick out. But you can probably see that in my picture above. It used to bother me, but now that I’ve written about my ears in my book, a zagillion (that’s a gazillion times bigger than a gazillion) people know, so I say…so what? And this is the last time I’m going to mention them on my website!
  4. I have three grandparents (plus one who died a long time ago), two aunts, two uncles, and two first cousins. I also have the meanest older sister in Massachusetts.   5. I am a very fast runner. One of the fastest in my class, but I haven’t actually raced every kid. I’m on the sixth grade cross country team.
  6. I like sports. Especially baseball and soccer. And I’m a good swimmer.
  7. I read lots of books. Especially adventures.
  8. I love to write about my adventures.
  9. I love words.
  10. And I like making lists…like this one.

    1. Cheesie Mack I really like your books, but I think you put in too much explaination. You do a really good job making the book funny. Are you going to make more books after your fifth one? Please keep making this books. In your books it said it had games, how to find how far is lightning, but I can’t find it on your website.

    1. Thanks, Nate.
      I don’t watch a lot of TV. I mean, not comedies or dramas or stuff like that. I watch mostly sports with my Granpa.
      I do play some video games when I’m at Georgie’s (he’s really good…me, not so much). But I don’t usually play games when I’m home, because I’m usually in my room writing books or answering comments on my website like this.

  13. Are the names of your teachers real names? If not tell me how you got their names:)

    1. They are not my teachers’ real names. If you use actual real people in books, you usually have to get their permission and approval. So, in order to avoid that hassle, I made up the names from my imagination. But their personalities are pretty accurate.

  16. hey ronald or cheesie what ever you prefer but i just started book four and i wanted to know why do you like words???

    1. That’s a great question (no one ever asked me that before).
      I guess I’m fascinated by words because language is the main thing that separates us from other animals. I read somewhere that there are thousands of different languages on this planet. Think of this: You and I may think learning Chinese or Swahili or Xhosa would be difficult, but any baby can learn any language its parent teach it. I think language is amazing because it’s what makes humans human.

    1. I only play occasionally…and always at Georgie’s house (he is an expert). I am too busy writing.

    1. I have no idea. Maybe it has something to do with my being only 11, and the publisher needs a name of a grownup.

    1. NEITHER! I would get bored doing something I had to do over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

    1. Maybe I should write a Thanksgiving book. I could call it “Cheesie Mack and the Disappearing Turkey” (because Georgie ate it all!)

    1. Hey, Chessie Mack.(Or do you mind if I call you Ronald. I read you like Chessie best but I am still asking.) I have only read Book One twice and I’m a big fan. I even had Steve Cotler (your ‘publisher’) come to my school. You kinda remind me of… me. I have many scars and I love reading and I love writing my personal life.
