Hi!

Everyone calls me Cheesie, but my real name is Ronald A. Mack. The A is for Apton, which is a weird middle name. It’s my mother’s maiden name. I think most kids HATE their middle names. I actually don’t. R. Apton Mack is actually kind of cool sounding…but I like Cheesie best.

Here’s some stuff about me:

  1. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and three freckles on my nose. I also have a whitish scar on my thumb where a fishhook stabbed me when I was on a lake with my dad. I was eight and fooling around. Don’t ask.
  2. My birthday is August 16. I’m now 11, which is, IMO, a very cool age to be.
  3. My ears stick out. But you can probably see that in my picture above. It used to bother me, but now that I’ve written about my ears in my book, a zagillion (that’s a gazillion times bigger than a gazillion) people know, so I say…so what? And this is the last time I’m going to mention them on my website!
  4. I have three grandparents (plus one who died a long time ago), two aunts, two uncles, and two first cousins. I also have the meanest older sister in Massachusetts.   5. I am a very fast runner. One of the fastest in my class, but I haven’t actually raced every kid. I’m on the sixth grade cross country team.
  6. I like sports. Especially baseball and soccer. And I’m a good swimmer.
  7. I read lots of books. Especially adventures.
  8. I love to write about my adventures.
  9. I love words.
  10. And I like making lists…like this one.

  7. I have a BFF like Georgie. Her name is Meg and she is my BFNMW(best friend no matter what). Now on to my question. How did you meet Georgie in the first place?

    1. I have known Georgie since were were two years old and in diapers. We are neighbors. My mom says she and Georgie’s mother (she’s dead) used to take us on stroller walks together. (I can’t remember that far back.)

    1. Thanks, Roseline. Georgie is very, very happy tonight. All his homework is done, and his is sitting in my room drawing pictures of jet planes, rocket ships, and alien monsters. He also just ate the last of my Halloween candy!

    1. Hi, Matthew. You have a funny mistake in your comment. You wrote “extinct” when I think you meant to write “excited.” I HOPE YOU ARE NOT EXTINCT!

    1. That is a very excellent question. It’s square roots. My Granpa showed me how to get the square root of any number WITHOUT using a calculator. It’s kind of like long division, except way more complicated. Some smart guy invented this a long time ago, I think.

    1. R U kidding me?! I love ice cream. Last Halloween I went to an ice cream store and got a scoop of black licorice and another scoop of pumpkin. It looked sooo good…black on the bottom and orange on top. Unfortunately, it tasted TERRIBLE…and the licorice turned my tongue black.

    2. Doing very good today. My dog ate something bad and barfed, however. She’s not as happy as I am.

    1. I do not. I don’t play video games very much because when I’m home, I’m usually in my room writing books or answering comments on my website like this right now right this minute and so if I were playing some Xbox 360 game, I wouldn’t be answering you.

    1. Definitely Apple. But shoes are just shoes to me. If they fit and I run fast, I don’t bother about the brand.

    1. I don’t have a favorite soccer player, but I really admire Steph Curry and just about all the Golden States Warriors…especially Draymond Green.

    1. You’ll probably think I’m a big nerd, but I really don’t watch a lot of youtube. Writing my books, doing homework, being on sports teams, and hanging with friends takes up all my time.

    1. Lots and lots of kids ask me to put their names in my books, but if I did that, my book would be nothing but names!

      I erased your street address from your comment because kids should never put their real addresses online because you never know who is going to read your comment.

  48. So I wrote a book but it is only like 90 pages. Do you have any tips to make it longer? I’m all out of ideas! Your books are amazing so I decided to get advice from you

    1. My best advice is to add in a subplot. Have one of your minor characters get involved in some action or activity that only barely interacts with the main character…but that the main character has to help with.

    1. I guess the best tip is to write. It’s just like soccer. You have to practice to get good at it. So write every day. It doesn’t really matter what you write. Just write. Even if it’s only a single paragraph. Every day!
