About Me

Ronald 'Cheesie' Mack
Me

Hi!

Everyone calls me Cheesie, but my real name is Ronald A. Mack. The A is for Apton, which is a weird middle name. It’s my mother’s maiden name. I think most kids HATE their middle names. I actually don’t. R. Apton Mack is actually kind of cool sounding…but I like Cheesie best.

Here’s some stuff about me:

  1. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and three freckles on my nose. I also have a whitish scar on my thumb where a fishhook stabbed me when I was on a lake with my dad. I was eight and fooling around. Don’t ask.
  2. My birthday is August 16. I’m now 11, which is, IMO, a very cool age to be.
  3. My ears stick out. But you can probably see that in my picture above. It used to bother me, but now that I’ve written about my ears in my book, a zagillion (that’s a gazillion times bigger than a gazillion) people know, so I say…so what? And this is the last time I’m going to mention them on my website!
  4. I have three grandparents (plus one who died a long time ago), two aunts, two uncles, and two first cousins. I also have the meanest older sister in Massachusetts. Cheesie's Family TreeMaybe the United States. Maybe the world! Those tiny boxes and circles to the right are my family tree (which I made as a school assignment in fourth grade). Click on it to see it bigger and learn more about everyone in my family.
  5. I am a very fast runner. One of the fastest in my class, but I haven’t actually raced every kid. I’m on the sixth grade cross country team.
  6. I like sports. Especially baseball and soccer. And I’m a good swimmer.
  7. I read lots of books. Especially adventures.
  8. I love to write about my adventures.
  9. I love words.
  10. And I like making lists…like this one.

Comments from my Readers & Friends

  1. why in the first book do you say kevin’s goons fake/supposed boyfriend they both sound terrible don’t they deserve each other

  2. hi cheesie mack i locked up book 1 of your books and it says it was made in 2011. I also know that when you wrote that list, you were 11 and born august 16. so that means you were born in 2000 because the year was 2011 and and now the year is 2020 so that makes you 20!!1! so that would make you 20 by now right? please anser i am very curios about this

    1. You are a terrific detective.

I like making lists, so there are three different ways to figure out how old I am:
      1) The Abdulrahman Way (using data from the published book). That calculates to 20 years old. It’s good math, but it is not necessarily correct.
      2) The Cheesie Mack Way (using what I say in my books because I am the author and I wrote the books and what I say goes!) That calculates to 11 years old (because I am Cheesie and I say so).
      3) The Steve Cotler Way (because his name is listed on the book as the author because the publishing company wanted it that way, and if you want to know how old he is, you’ll have to do lots of internet research, but I can tell you he’s WAY older than 11 or 20).

If I were Abdulrahman, I’d stick with 11.

    2. Dear Mr Cotler, your comment had me wandering about how old you relly are so I looked it up here is the website where I found this information https://www.stevecotler.com/bio.php my english teacher Mr Ash says its important to “Link your sources” ANYWAYS IT SAYS HERE your 5th grade adventure took place in 50s so and.. every1 in the 5th grade is either 10 or 11 so that so…(i had to use a calculartour for this) that would make you born in 1939 at the oldest and 1949 at the best! THats really old but at least your not as old as your grandma! Potentially she was born in 1942! I wonder if you stopped writing so many books because you are getting so old!!! thanks for reading this message from yours truly!

    3. Also i read that your brother was (rip im sorry that he died) jewish so if that means your jewish as well then thats awesome and cool i love bagels and they are jewish as well!!! awesome!!!

    4. Mr. Cotler asked me tell you that your estimation of his birth year is quite good. You guessed 1939-1949. He was born right in the middle: 1944. He thinks you are very clever. But he wonders why you think his grandmother was born in 1942. That would’ve made her two years old when he was born. IMPOSSIBLE.

(And he wanted to correct you regarding his brother…who is not the least bit dead.)

  3. Hello cheesie I am Dhruva your biggest fan even though I just read one of your books so far.

  4. My favorite part in cheesie mack is not exactly famous is when you made the underground quest into a game I also liked how rated it d for disgusting thought it was very very funny probably the funniest I ever heard.

    1. Thanks, Nuri.
My internet thing-a-ma-jiggie tells me that your comment came from Spain. Is that right? If so, I think you are my first commenter from Spain!

    2. Hi! Yes, I am from Spain! It’s really cold right now. It’s been raining ALL dAY! The weather is horrible most of the time.

    1. i think alpharad is way better poodiepie cause hes super funni!!! you should watch him instead,

  5. Hi i’m a big fan of your 4th book so far. the reason i say the 4th book is because its the only one at my library. i’m 9 years old

  6. I read a book about someone who liked mac-&-cheese with ketchup. Do you like your mac-&-cheese with ketchup?

    1. I love ketchup, but definitely not on M&C.
Did you know ketchup comes from Chinese food and was originally a fermented fish sauce (YUK!) that had NOTHING to do with tomatoes?

  7. Hi cheesie my name is Brendan and I’m 13 years old my next birthday is in October 16 I was born in 2006 after reading your 1rst book i saw a show bug outside my room window! I’m am going into 8th grade bye.

    1. Brendan,
When I read your comment I laughed you did not use any punctuation it is very funny I’ll show you why just look below where I end this crazy long run-on sentence it doesn’t have any punctuation either I rewrote part of your comment with punctuation you’ll see why I laughed

“I was born in 2006 after reading your first book.” You must’ve been a very smart embryo because you read my book before you were even born!

  8. Sorry about that 😞😩🤪🤨🤪🤪🤨🧐😝😛😗🥰😍😉😉😘😛😉😍😙

    1. If you look at my family tree
      you’ll see this:
“My sister has no middle name. When I told her it was because she was funny-looking when she was born, she punched me.”

  9. Hi cheesie! I love your books i think they are nice! Don’t mind me asking but do you cut the cheese a lot?☺ Thanks bye now!

    1. My mom only buys pre-sliced cheese, so the answer to your question is … NO!
      (That’s my humorous answer.)
But you got me thinking, and since Cheesie is a guy who thinks a lot. I looked it up. Here’s what I found:
Over 99% of the volume of flatus (farts) is composed of non-smelly gases. These include oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and methane. The remaining trace (<1% volume) compounds give flatus its smell, mostly from a combination of volatile sulfur compounds.
See, your goofy question turned into a scientific discovery for me (and you).

  10. Hi! My name is Savy I just started reading your books they are great!😁🌈 I am soooooo exited to read more I can’t put the book down!🤩🙂

    1. I think Savy is a GREAT NAME! I never met a Savy before.
My Dad told there is a word “savvy.” If you are savvy, you are someone who really knows what’s going on. Kind of smart and clever.

  11. 👋 Hi! I’m Max!I just started your series of books 📖 and I love ❤️ them!Bye!Nice meeting you?😚

    1. Hiya Max! Comment again when you finish each book.
I’ll be happy to have a chat with you then.

  14. Can you come out with a new book and series because I’m sure a lot of people will read them.

  15. So i heard you visited Pennsylvania right. So did you go to Philadelphia and see Houston School?

  16. Hey i’m reading your book. And its ok but it’s just that some stuff is a little weird.

  17. Hello Cheesie I really like your book, I have only read 1 of them but i want more… i know this is my 2nd comment.

    1. yes Would love to read more of your book they are really good…Good luck in the point battle

    2. My name is prounonced Ma-Kai but people call me makee so please don’t call me makee i hate the name.Even though it’s funny. You can tell i live philly.

    3. Um excuse me i don’t know you and yes i have a xbox but i’m not using it because it’s broken.

    4. Your first name is sort of the same as my last name. If I had a “Y” at the end of my name then it would be MACKY, and people would pronounce it Ma-kee like the way people mispronounce your name. Weird, huh?

    5. Well just don’t get it twisted just make sure you prounounce the ”y” like an I like your the first letter of ice.

  18. hey I’m preslee tongate and I wanted to say I love your 1 book so far you are so funny and adventurous. I want to know who is your favorite person in your life and can you tell me a joke?

    1. Hi, my sister has a signed copy of your book 1! I’ve read it THOUSANDS of times and it still makes me laugh! Just about coins, I have a Gloria Jeans One Free Coffee coin. But I don’t know how old it is! It could be really old! 🙂

  19. hey I’m reading your book Cheesie Mack is not a genius or anything I was wondering what is your favorite book you wrote and by the way I love your books.
Also I want to know a joke from you please.

    1. Kind of hard to pick my favorite book…
I don’t have a favorite really, but what happened in Book #2 is what got me deciding that I wanted to write about my adventures. After that, things just kind of happened.

    2. You’re lucky to have a sister that is almost the same age as you!My sister is 23 years old😢😞

  20. hey I am reading a book of yours its called Cheesie Mack something I kind of forgot but I want to ask you something how old are you

  21. Hello Cheese, I really like your books. You’ve been to my school, I’ve read your books 3 times and I have a sighed edition of book 1. I really hope you will make more books.

    1. Sure. Reply with the name of your school and your librarian, and I’ll send one to you and another to your school.
(But don’t tell anyone or everyone will want the same.)

  22. Thank you so much Steve Cotler, or should I say Cheesie Mack for bringing your thoughts to pen and paper. I am currently reading the 1st book and it is amazing. Please tell me if you are writing another book in the series.
    Your fan,
    Dan

    1. Just finished the book. Infinity out of 10. It was amazing! Just pure amazing. I need to recommend this to my librarian at my school to add this into their collection.

    2. Will do. I’ll do it tomorrow, and since my school is a middle school, things might get a little messy, but since you love the messy bacon sandwich I think you might be ready for an unorganized event.

    3. BTW I have a rodent pun.
What city has the largest rodent population?
      Hamsterdam. (That was so punny).

  23. I like all of the books that you are writing and we think you are the best. thanks for writing all of these books! PS.We think that you are funny.

    1. Funny is my middle name. (Not really. My middle name is Apton…which was my mother’s maiden name.)
