Evidence in Goon's Pocket? (The stuff on this webpage was mentioned on page 161 in my book.)

blue jean shortsAfter my father looked in the back pocket of Goon’s shorts, he said, “Based on the evidence, I know exactly what occurred.”

Later I asked Dad about the evidence, but he said, “Case closed.”

It’s a mystery to me. If you have a good idea of what my Dad knew, please comment below.

Comments from my Readers & Friends

  1. I think that when Goon was @ the party her pants got wet and when they dried the ticket subs got dried to the edge of her pocket and when she ran home after being accused at the party, she felt to see if the tickets were still there but she didn’t feel them because they were dried to the edge of her pants. I think this is correct because @ a water park my friends money got stuck in her pocket and she thought she lost it. Even though this is an extremely probable solution, I still want to know the real reason. Cheesie, did you ask your dad why he won’t tell you the evidence? If you did, what did he say?

    1. You’ve got a good theory. And I did ask, but Dad said, “Case closed.” And when he says that, it means no more questions.

  2. Maybe yours and Georgie’s ticket and was trying to find a place to hide so you couldn’t win……

  3. I don’t think that there was anything in there but he said that because he wanted Goon to tell the truth and he knew that if he said that there wasnt anything in the pockets, then she would have not said anything and rebuttled against you/ Cheesie/Ronald.

  4. I think the evidence was that the water party had water and it was wet so she must have had a little bit of the red ticket left in her pocket and goon did’nt have time to check to see if all the ticket was gone, also thats why your father asked you what color the ticket stubs were.

  5. 😛 Goon is nice! She told the truth because it was the right thing to do. It doesn’t matter what the “evidence” was.

  6. I don’t know, but Goon probably gave something away somehow. I mean, she’s Goon. She’s no better then Alex Welch.

  7. I’m baaaaaack!!! And I had another idea!

I think Goon switched the tickets to her front pocket so there was nothing in the back, but when he looked in the back of the shorts he could feel them through the fabric. That would make it so that he confused you and Goon so there would be no more fighting.

  8. Cheesie-
Maybe your dad checked Goon’s pockets when she wasn’t looking, or when she was sleeping? Or maybe after Goon tossed them is the laundry basket?

  9. Mabye he saw a piece of the red ticket and conculed that Goon was lying!!

  10. nothing because June is almost always honest and not afraid to face a punishment.

  11. I’m not sure goon had the stubs at all.she could have given them to Kevin and when she told the truth, she had given away

  12. If Dad knew that Goon/June wasn’t telling a lie, then there had to be some obvious evidence. That proves that the tickets were in her back pocket.Hope this was helpful!

  13. The evidence was: Goon (or Jules) had the tickets in her pocket and it was a water party-thing. So the kids threw water balloons or she sat down or rubbed against something so her pockets got wet and the ticket stubs were red so they had dye or something. So the water made the dye leak and it left a blotch of red or something like that. That’s the evidence

  14. he found red messy balls of paper because she might have put it in the laundry machine.

    1. That might be right if she had had her shorts washed, but she came right home and was still wearing them.

  15. I think maybe goon might have ripped them up after she put them in her pockets, then threw the scraps away. I think there were shreds of red paper.

    1. Like I wrote above, “It’s a mystery to me,” so how can I tell you what I don’t know?

  16. I think the evidence found was bright red ripped-up tickets in Goon’s/June’s back pocket.

  17. I wish Goon was lying because I also do point battle with my brother but, the rules are very different and nobody knows that I do it.
    score: ME, 600
    brother, 550.
    I win a lot.

  18. I think Goon hid the ticket stubs in her room somewhere because she IS smart and your dad might have just asked you what color the ticket stubs were to make her tell the truth.

    1. when you said that your dad was kind of soft, I thought that he would not yell but, I was wrong.

  19. I think Goon had accidentally kept the stubs in her pocket and forgot about them until she was caught. Oh yeah!

  20. I don’t know if she put them in her pants or not, or maybe she ditched the stubs and your dad wanted to see if you were lying or if
Goon was lying. I’m just guessing.

  21. i think that there was nothing in there and your dad just said that and didn’t mean it and then said based on the evidence just to make goon confess

  22. i think that mabey goon hid yours and gorgies tickets some place other than her pocket. if she would have hid the tickets in her pocket that would have been way too noticable. You should look around Cheesie you never know what you and gorgie could find!!!! :)!

  23. Goon put the red ticket in her pocket, and some of the dye came off inside because it was a hot day and she sweated a little bit.

  24. cheese tell your dad to tell us what has happend in the pocket please get him to tell me ppppppppppppplllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Well, even though it was a water park party, there was probably some fair games like AirHockey or SkeeBall that used tokens or something. Now I know Goon wouldn’t leave the tokens themselves, BUT my theory is….

that the token’s engravings and marks left prints in her pocket.

OR if the park only used tickets and not tokens, then I suspect that there was red dye left from the tickets, which Goon tried to wash out, but the water there left her shorts wet and your dad knew she tried to wash them out.

Or maybe Kevin snuck her some tickets/tokens/etc, into her pocket as a present and she didn’t know they were there.

    1. Or, maybe like someone else said, possibly, his dad just wanted Goon to fess up. Who knows? If Goon’s so smart, and I’m pretty sure that the “dye” won’t melt off, because it actually could be PRINTER ink, he just lied to get Goon to tell the truth. :/
